HISTORY
Established
in the fall of 1986, GILGAL BIBLE SCHOOL (GBS) offers all of
its students the opportunity to embark upon a supernatural learning
experience. This experience will enrich their lives-enabling
them to grow and walk in the Word of God. We are encouraged
as Christians to "study and be eager and do our utmost
to present ourselves to God approved (tested by trail), workmen
who have no cause to be ashamed: correctly analyzing and accurately
dividing- rightly handling and skillfully teaching the Word
of Truth." (2 Tim. 2:15, Amp.)
The
name "Gilgal" represents a place of preparation, a
circular place, a place of continuity and consistency (where
the Word of God is continually being taught and learned). Gilgal,
according to Bible history, was also the location of the School
of the Prophets during the time of Elijah. Hence, the Gilgal
Bible School is built upon the Word of God and committed to
preparing believers for the work of ministry and leadership
roles within the local church.
The
GBS Symbol of the dove represents the Holy Spirit according
to St. Mark 1:10. The Holy Spirit as our teacher, will teach
us and bring all things to our remembrance. (St. John 14:26)
GOALS
The
ultimate goal of GBS is to effectively minister to those who
have a desire to allow the Lord to work His perfect will in
their lives. GBS further desires to impart the Word of God with
a fresh anointing so the student will go forth walking, living
and ministering in the power of the Holy Spirit. This training
will prepare GBS graduates to more effectively fulfill the call
of God in their lives.
